OK I have another update so Cathy if you can help get the word out and Spider is helping to. The name and address of the funeral home is: Russ Monroe Funeral Home, 7960 Windy Way, Fair Oaks, CA 95628. The phone number is 916-961-1265. Unfortunately, Rocket does not have a date yet. Also, Rocket and I have discussed the possibility of having a memorial here in New York for our family and friends who can't make it to California. More details to follow.

Rocket,I am greatly saddened  to hear of your loss.One of my best friends lost a son last year. So hearing of this hurts my heart..My prayers go out to you and all that loved him.

This just in from Marci, confirming what Libby posted in the sticky. Can I please ask that all subsequent correspondence with regard to plans/preparations, etc is posted in this topic, so that the other one can remain as a condolence topic. Thanks.

I heard from Rocket last night. He said the funeral is scheduled for March 8 at 1 pm. He also told me he was given the wrong street name for the funeral home. It is actually Winding Way, not Windy Way. He says sorry for the confusion!

Hello everyone! This is Marci. I want to thank everyone for all the love and thoughts that are being sent Rocket's and my way during this time of such deep sorrow. The love I have felt from this family, even by those who haven't met me yet, is so incredible and heartwarming. I was with Rocket at the Beacon shows as well as the Ithaca and Albany shows, and everyone I met were so happy for Rocket and I. It's been a long road we've been down, but we are once again traveling it together.

Rocket talked to me last night and he is still in San Bernadino. Hopefully he will be seeing his son this morning at the coroner's office and will need all the loving thoughts that can be sent his way as I know it will be so very hard for him. I will give an update once I've talked to him this morning.

Even though we only know of each other through this forum, I can't express how very, very sad this news makes me. I am so sorry for your loss and wish you and your family all the best.

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

I just got off the phone with Rocket. He won't be able to see Derek today. He will have to go up to the funeral home to see him so it will be sometime early next week before the funeral before he can see him. I will let you know so we can send thoughts his way.
