Topic: Joe and Tal Wilkenfeld

When will these two record/tour?????

Re: Joe and Tal Wilkenfeld

She's great, but I honestly LOVE Carmine.  I hope the current pairing lasts a loooooooooooong  time.

Gibson 60th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Reissue, Gibson LP Standard Faded CSB, Gibson Gary Moore LP Standard, Epi Joe Bonamassa GT LP, Epi Zakk Wylde LP, Dean Michael Schenker Flying V, Jackson Randy Rhoads V, ESP/LTD George Lynch Kamikaze, EVH Striped Series R/B/W, Fender/Squire John 5 Telecaster, Fender Joe Strummer Relic Telecaster

Re: Joe and Tal Wilkenfeld

She's fantastic but I too love Carmine's style. Such a great bass tone he has, and I like how he changes his parts when playing live. Doing more of that repetitive one note rhythm really fills in the bottom end live, where as in the studio it can sound too busy on a track.

I think she'd be a good fit on something in the Beth Hart style or project.

Re: Joe and Tal Wilkenfeld

We met Carmine in Austin.  Way cool.  Hope to visit again in Topeka.  Just was wondering what Tal would bring to  a tune.

Re: Joe and Tal Wilkenfeld

Tal is easy on the eyes.  Other than that she is just another bass player.  Carmine brings EVERYTHING he has to each performance.  Don't change a thing Joe.

If you look up to the heavens just before the start of every Joe Bonamasaa concert you can see Stevie, Jimi, Muddy, Gary and others leaning over God’s railing jockeying for the best view.
And if you listen, you can hear Stevie say  “ SHHhhhh,  The kids about to start playing.”

Re: Joe and Tal Wilkenfeld

I wouldn't describe Tal as "just another bass player". Have you seen her work with Jeff Beck?

Yes I have.  I have nothing bad to say about her.
