Topic: 3 days til Johnny Winter!!
Now it's just 3 days til the big show. I listened to an album by Jim Suhler, one of the opening acts. I listened to Live At Blue Cat Blues, & it kicked butt!! Damon Fowler's album sounded good to.

Johnny is still alive & well........last summer he put a on a great show.......I'm glad he's still around...have fun @ the show!!!

We are close to the front but left side.
You will love Jim Suhler. Plus he is a really nice guy and to see him with his band is a bonus!

Is Jim still playin' with George Thorogood? C'mon Tex, inquiring minds wanna know. Actually I'm curious as George is playin' The Uptown Theater in Napa March 1st.

Well, the show was awesome last night!! Johnny Winter blew the roof off of the place!! Jim Suhler & Damon Fowler both rocked as well!! Some lady approached me last night before the show and asked if I was bluesdeluxe25. I assume that was Tx Sommelier. I didn't expect that to happen. I guess it's a small world, and I was wearing a Joe Bonamassa t shirt, so I guess that was a giveaway. I met Damon Fowler after his performance and got 2 autographed cds. He was a really nice guy. Hope I can see him and Jim Suhler again at some point.

Yes, it was me...sorry about catching you off-guard and then leaving in a hurry, but I didn't want to miss anything...plus I was texting J Dawg....I was a busy lady last night ;-)
I spoke to Jim before the show & he said that I should not miss Damon. I am so glad he told me because Damon was fantastic!
Glad you had a great time & hopefully catch you at one of Jim's shows.

Jim Suhler played 2 Rory Gallagher songs last night. I think I'd heard them before, but don't know the names. Does anyone else know what songs those were?

The first one was "Could've Had Religion". It is on Jim's CD called "Tijuana Bible". Just as a side note...Joe played "Deep Water Lullaby" on the same CD. Also Joe has said that it was one of his favorite cameos.
The second is "Restless Soul". Jim did it on the CD "Bad Juju".
If you have a chance to see him anywhere, he will have his CD's with him & he will happily sign them for you.
