Topic: Renegade Creation at the Coach House 8/20

I just got back and I'm in guitar heaven, as Jimmy Haslip remarked me after chatting post show. Last night at the Baked Potato with Joe and friends, tonight Robben Ford, Michael Landau, the aforementioned Jimmy on bass (Huge Monster Player!) and Gary Novak on drums. Run and get tickets if these guys come near. Robben said they are working on another release right now in the studio.
My son in law, who was also at the spud remarked, after hearing Spoonful on back to back nights and being asked which was better, "you can't compare, just enjoy" True. These are tremendous players all. Landau put on a Strat clinic for tone and touch. Ford countered with SG and Tele. Amazing!

ML is such a sick player.Must have been cool to see him live.I have a few cds with him,Burning Water,Raging Honkies and an instruemental.The only thing that disappoints me with Michael is I think he should team up with a quality vocalist.His songwriting is not always my cup o T too sometimes.But a world class player for sure.

True Gary, his voice is not his strength. He sang some, but Robben is better. They traded licks all night and the show was very good. Haslip's bass work was killer too, he stepped up for a nice extended solo once.
