Topic: New Years Baby 1982!

Today I turn 30!  Really a proud moment in my life.  Never thought I would live out of my 20's but here I am in 2012!

I was born at 12:05am Hickory NC and as far as I know I was the New years Baby in North Carolina.  Yes it came with all the great perks like Diapers and toys, but my dad always said he wished I was the last baby born in 1981 so he could have included me for the whole year on his Tax write offs ;p

Anyway I'm still a baby, so Happy New Year to everyone on the Forum and thanks for not calling me a troll!  Here's to 2012!

Happy Birthday Ad3!!

Oh to be 30 again! Especially knowing what I know now!

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

Happy Birthday AD!  Like Guido I wish I was 30 again.  For some odd reason that birthday bothered Curby - felt like I was suddenly mortal and no longer bulletproof.

Re: New Years Baby 1982!

Happy Birthday. It is my birthday also, 47, never in all my dreams did I think I would have made it this far, should have slowed down way sooner than 45 but oh well.

Re: New Years Baby 1982!

How very cool, Happy Birthday.....30 to to 54 (in 16 days went by real real fast).....get your education, carreer, house, wife, baby (only one trust me).....and sock every frickin penny you can into a 401k or the like.....I did a couple things ok, and made some financial choices that I'll never forget sad.....WHOA!!!!....sorry I forgot that it's YOUR birthday....carry on you youngster, I'll be thinking about every New Year

Well, congrats Arn!!! I've always wondered what it must be like for people like our son (Christmas Baby! ...so I sort of know what it is like for him=cheated any two ways you look at it) and a New Year Baby like you!

Thirty forty fifty year more, the bloody Red Baron, was running up a score, eighty....ooops, song slippage there...
20 was the the one that smacked me hardest-my life was over!!! Shoot, 30 and beyond all breeze for me, no blinking my eyes, even...now  OTHER family members......no names, but weeping and gnashing of teeth would've sufficed for grief, BUT........

You hit thirty pal, the rest of your life is like one big long day that you know is the one you're going to die on, and gull durnit, yer gone try to have some enjoyment before the sun goes (or falls) down! tongue

Haha! You too?

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

Re: New Years Baby 1982!

Friend Rocket is saying that he wonders about people who have birthdays on major holidays being cheated or blessed by that fact.  Also that hitting thirty was not as big a milestone for him as hitting 20.  By the time he hit 30, he had done a "little bit" of growing up.  He passed it by without even blinking, unlike some of his family who did not handle it so well.

The after slipping into the Ballad of Snoopy and the Red Baron, cause he's got a synaptic short and free association, he congratulated you on hitting thirty and cautions you against wasting time grumbling cause life's too short.

Savvy?  Very well then; I congratulate you as well.
