Topic: Info and Reviews for Portland show 12-14-11

Just want to welcome Joe back to the Rose City....He has had a day of rest, so we are expecting him to be re-charged for the Portland show, after a stellar performance in Yakima. Just in case you are coming from out of town a few close restaurants that are pretty decent are Jakes Grill at 611 sw 10th,Southpark at 901 sw Salmon, Pastini at 911 sw Taylor, and Higgins right on Broadway just up the block from the venue. This venue is right downtown..lots of parking, but it'll cost you...This should be a special night. This is the largest crowd that I will have seen him play to,  and Portland is kind of crazy,  so this should be over the top ! Portland will make some noise for this show...We are ready....and still seats for those of you who couldn't get a seat in Seattle...Well worth the 3 hr drive.

Murfdog my cousin who is as close as a brother to me will be in attendance I made a believer in him a couple of years ago and he is a fanatical as I ever have been about Joe. He saw him in Bend the first time but I think this show will top that.

Highlights of this show besides everything were a special appearance by a local guitarist and a Blistering Encore. Also, Joe has changed up Bird on a Wire and made it a little bit country...actually like this version better.....and Midnight Blues has just been outstanding on this tour....Crowd was satisfied and many new prople were just stunned...as usual...It's fun to watch....especially during  "Woke up Dreaming" which is now more amazing than ever !!

My wife and I were there last night and the show was epic.  Nearly 2 1/2 hours and a guest guitarist - local legend Eddie Martinez  as well.

Thanks for getting the set list.  It's funny how you forget little details sometimes.

I was able to attend the meet and greet and got to meet Joe for the first time.  A genuinely nice person.  That was really special for me and Joe signed both of my Bonamassa guitars and we were able to chat for a few minutes.

A great show at a great venue.

I can't wait until next time.
