Topic: Seattle Joe Show - December 15, 2011
I just can't tell you how much Lil' Eddie and I are looking forward to Joe's show...in 3, yes 3, days!!! December 15 can't come soon enough!
We haven't seen Joe perform since March 5, 2010 and we are having serious withdrawals! LOLOL I'm posting in the forum early so I can fill in the set list and highlights after the show or on Friday!I was thrilled to see Blues Deluxe on the set list in Yakima so hope that carries over to Seattle. No matter what the song, they are all awesome and we are looking forward to a great show.
I'll see you at the edge of the stage Joe (well, for the first three songs that is!!) -- with my new Nikon D7000 (and press pass) ready to capture your talent to share with the world!
Stay tuned Bonabuddies! I'll be baaaack!

Edited Post to Include My "Review" of the Show...see below in this post.
There is a place called "BonaHeaven" and that is where we are still after seeing Joe perform at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle December 15!
For those who have been to one of Joe's shows, you know that the Joe Glow does NOT wear off overnight...it takes several days and even then, the experience is one that you never forget! The audience was awesome and extremely appreciative of Joe's impressive talent and showmanship. Tal outdid himself on the drums (OMG!!! First time I've seen him play live since the last show we attended in Seattle was March 2010 and Bogie was still Joe's drummer then--and HE IS awesome too). Carmine burned up his bass guitar and Rick tickled the heck out of those ivories!
Joe has surrounded himself with really awesome people in addition to the band, (Dennis and Bob to name just two) and it is a pleasure to chat with them and hear that they enjoy working with Joe and respect the heck out of the guy. Not everyone can say that about their employer (or someone they work alongside)!
There is just something magical about watching Joe perform and interact with the band and the audience. He creates this connection by being himself--cool, calm, collected, and AWESOME!! We thoroughly enjoyed all of the songs Joe and the band performed but our personal fav is Blues Deluxe since that was the first song we EVER heard Joe perform. We did not have any issues with sound or our seats. The balcony seats we had were dead center so using my telephone lens, I was able to get some great shots not only of Joe but of the band. Thanks Joe for entertaining all of us with everything you had!
After the show, Lil' Eddie and I had the BonaBanner by the merchandise table (thanks BOB!) and about 40 people signed it. There were people there that were BonaVirgins and now they are BonaBelievers! It was so sweeeeet listening to them talk about the show. About 11:15 pm, Joe came out of the Paramount and there were 12 of us standing in the drizzle waiting for him. Katie Blue told me to tell Joe she was sad she didn't get to meet him in person yet, but maybe someday at the WhooDooVooDooLounge on another trip! When I mentioned her name, Joe said he loved her pictures (I'm assuming he was referring to the ones of her with JoeBobble)! Joe was a gentleman with everyone who had waited to simply shake his hand, say hi, sign a guitar, have a picture taken with him, sign the Fuzz Face, etc. And that, everyone, is why we love Joe! Hopefully the after the show, by the bus mini meets never end! All in all, a good wrap up to a wonderful night of Bonamassa Blues Rock!!
My new Nikon D7000 clicks off 6 frames per second so I have over 500 pictures to review so it will be a bit before I post them! A quick look at the pics I took, showed that I need more time with my camera and it's many manual settings to end the blurry pics. I did manage to get some good ones when I switched back to auto (sorry Dave!!) so I would at least have SOME pics to remind me of the show. hehehehe
Yep! On Cloud 9 in BonaHeaven! We can't wait until the next show and I hope to meet Tal and talk to Carmine and Rick too. BTW, saw Rick in the elevator at the Paramount and said "Hi, it's Bad Kitty." He said "You're a bad kitty," and my Lil' Eddie said, "Yes, she's a bad, bad kitty!"
More to come later--pics... Bad Kitty
