Topic: RIP Col. Sherman T. Potter

"There was not an unadorable bone in the man's body."

So said BJ Hunnicut about Harry Morgan yesterday. Can there be anyone of us older ones who didn't totally love MASH? I'm up for making this a celebration of one of the very greatest tv shows of all time, ever. I venture to suggest that MASH became more than just a show, and that all of us who loved it got completely into the many wonderful characters, of whom Col. Potter was certainly one of the most wonderful.

Loved him, loved the show. RIP Col. Potter. sad

Re: RIP Col. Sherman T. Potter

Henry Morgan was one of Hollywood's greatest character actors.  They don't make 'em like that anymore and he single-handedly saved MASH from being cancelled.

M*A*S*H* has been my favorites for a long long time. Harry Morgan was a great actor who did parts in westerns well before MASH and Dragnet. We still watch MASH almost daily. I believe Harry Morgan was in John Waynes very last movie........

Can you name the movie?

Re: RIP Col. Sherman T. Potter

MASH was great and I have great memories of watching Dragnet: Loved Harry's Bill Gannon character.
