Topic: Question on New London show ...

Joe is playing (for the first time) the Garde Theatre in New London later this year. Large house - I noticed today on the venue website that Joe is sharing the bill with bluesgrass mandolinist Sam Bush. Maybe this explains the size of the venue - two acts. Anyone know who will be the headliner? Is Joe playing with Sam on more then this one ocassion?
Note: Tic don't go sale til 7/15 unless you are member of the Garde

Re: Question on New London show ...

We are doing several shows with Sam Bush the great Bluegrass player this fall.  Both Bands will be doing full shows and switching slots day after day.  Its a Co- Headline..  I am very much looking forward to it.  I know everybody is going to love Sam.

Re: Question on New London show ...

Hi Joe -Great news about both of you doing full shows. I went on line and listened to some of Sam's music. He is very talented. Glad to see you are mixing it up - you both will complement each other. Look forward to seeing you down the road!

Re: Question on New London show ...

Larger venue - more ears. I hope it benefits both acts deservingly.

Maybe Sloe Gin can go 2xplatinum!

Re: Question on New London show ...

That sounds like a terrific twin bill!

Re: Question on New London show ...

Damn, I wish this co-headline show was happening somewhere on the west coast too. Sam Bush is one of the great mandolin players on the planet. It's been years since I last saw him at the Strawberry Festival at Yosemite where he played with Emmylou Harris in the Nash Ramblers as well as with the bluegrass super group Strength In Numbers with Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas, and Mark O'Connor. If he jams with Joe I hope somebody gets it on video to share.

Re: Question on New London show ...

My sister-in-law (got her in the divorce) is a huge Sam Bush fan!! So the Baltimore show with Joe is close to Nirvana for her and her mandolin/guitar playing boyfriend!!! I'm wondering, since it's been written in another thread, if maybe they will play "Dirt in My Pocket" as Stu describes it as both acoustic with a reply in electric. Joe does have such broad respect for great performers in all genres. Never will be "caged"!   Cathy
