Hey Gary, I hope your stress level is reduced by now.

I always have a couple of glasses of red wine with dinner and  I noticed a long time ago that I can fall asleep easily but wake up in 3 or 4 hours later and can't get back.  The fact that I do intensive cardio every morning and strength train 3x a week has no impact what so ever on my sleep.  I tried not drinking at all during the week for a while and my sleep was pretty much the same.  So I chalk it up to getting older sad.  I guess the most important thing is that you're ok the next day.  I never feel tired during the day in fact could fare well with a little less energy.

I doubt this is of any value to you smile.  But I just noticed this subject and dozed right into it. smile

Thanks Robin. All the ideas are good.I would say that its not a chronic problem for me but sometimes stress gets the best of me.I have been ok since the post.

For stress related insomnia, do yourself a favor and order a bottle of this.

I got my first bottle from my chiropractor for muscle spasms. The stuff is amazing and it's all natural, no chemicals.

If I've has a stressful day I take a 303, get into bed, turn on some of Brian Eno's ambient  stuff and take slow, deep breaths; picturing myself slowly "deflating", like a balloon, when I exhale.

I'm asleep in 15 minutes. Works every time.

Thanks for sharing this.I am trying to look into natural remedies for various things.I was wondering putside of spasms if it helps with general tension

When I saw his post recommending this, I looked up the ingredients.

Valerian root....which is a natural sleep inducer.  You can get it in teas also.  But not recommended for chronic use.

Passiflora.....used for treating  anxiety and tension.

Magnisium.....a mineral used for musle relaxing.  I take it quite often with calcium at night to reduce musle cramping.

Gary,

It does! I had a very tough year (work demands, death of a close friend, death of my father, etc etc). I kept a lot of stuff bottled up and it took a toll on my nerves. That led to me ending up with General Anxiety Disorder. I was stressed out ALL THE TIME. I couldn't relax and I felt like I was losing it. These 303 pills help level me out and that helped me to understand my body and mind couldn't take any more stress.

I can't recommend these pills enough.

Wake up at 6 am eastern time for meetings in Pittsburgh, take the 5 p.m. flight back to CA, land at 9 p.m. pacific time, drive an hour home, crawl into your own bed with your own pillow...ahhhh  Yep, that works for me every time.
