Re: Freddie Mercury

The greatest singer ever, imo.

And perhaps, his most powerful vocal:

Re: Freddie Mercury

Here, more than anywhere else - Freddie had the whole audience in the palm of his hand, on this memorable day. He nailed it!

Re: Freddie Mercury

it doesn't seem like 20 years. He left a giant hole in the music world as a whole, one of those singers and showmen that cannot be replaced easily. And now I understand someone is working on a documentary of his life, the lead is expected to be Sasha Baron Cohen. roll I guess we'll see if he has any serious acting skills. RIP Freddie.

Re: Freddie Mercury

Unique.  Probably the best frontman ever.

Re: Freddie Mercury

Who could forget live aid at Wembley. He outshone everybody when Queen were at a bit of a low ebb. Best frontman ever. smile

Come on the Blades (sorry Idolbone just had to borrow your line)

Re: Freddie Mercury

Watching Queen rocks Montreal on Palladia right now.  Man Freddie could sing.

Queen is the one band that got away.  I never managed to see them.  A mistake on my part.

If you look up to the heavens just before the start of every Joe Bonamasaa concert you can see Stevie, Jimi, Muddy, Gary and others leaning over God’s railing jockeying for the best view.
And if you listen, you can hear Stevie say  “ SHHhhhh,  The kids about to start playing.”
