A very funny English stand-up comedian - Lee Evans  also wears a suit on stage - and sweats far more than Joe - apparently Lee goes through a suit a night!

See a interview of Lee - over in Off Topics - What Makes you laugh/smile
go to 1.32mins into the interview ... lee explains.

No, he doesn't. Joe has a sprinkler system installed in the back of each of his jackets. It's controlled remotely by a timer system offstage, or can be turned on/off manually by Joe's guitar tech. It's used to keep Joe cool under the hot lights.
I heard that these will be for sale shortly in the JB Store.

They'll make great stocking stuffers!

Brack!.you brilliant again!Perfectly simply put.The light bulb just went off in my head. What I have noticed here lately is A thread comes up,let's say a rather insignificant topic. You read it.You then have choices.Comment or no comment. If you are not interested, don't comment and if no else is the thread will go by by.What seems to happen is that if people don't care for the topic or think its "stupid" it starts to become a thread more about the validity of having the topic rather than the topic itself. When this happens then it seems to get personal. At least that what thought came to me now.

Patti,
I don't think the thread started off as a joke at all, and your post was a valid one. We turned it into a joke because it was screaming out for some shenanigans to be had.  smile

Re: Wet jacket

I didn't see it as a joke and coming so soon after the other infamous thread I just had to start my comment with a slightly tongue in cheek "I think you're all overstepping the mark! wink "

I did think it was a little OTT to be discussing such a personal matter in public but chose to use the thread to post some of my best pics of Joe. I hope you liked them. Sorry if that sounds a little hypocritical.

Gary's definitely got the right idea and a little turning the other cheek wouldn't go amiss around here sometimes.

Re: Wet jacket

No doubt one of the more distasteful threads I've read on this forum.  I mean, c'mon ....

Re: Wet jacket

I agree that this has had its day. The question has been answered, we've had some fun, now this would just be wasting space here.

Therefore, I'm moving this down to 'Old' without locking it.

A note on the 'Old' sub-forum: if you read Phil's original sticky there, you will see that topics moved there were intended to be locked. In practice, only very few have ever been locked, and then for a good and specific reason. There's no reason for this sensible policy not to continue.

I can't say if I've ever noticed anyone adding to topics once they've been moved there. I think we all tend to forget about 'down there'.  wink

Your question was an honest one - but some just took it way too seriously, and some just wanted to inject a sense of fun - for the sake of balance ? - and now it's ended up in here!
