Topic: Doyle Bramhall II

I was listening to Arc Angels, one of my favorites.

I like him, like what he did at crossroads, was hoping for some more Arc Angels with Charlie.

Saw some of his stuff with Sheryl Crow.  Know he was touring with her.  Not really a fan of hers.

I know they are a couple.  I just hope he still does his own music away from hers.  I can't really listen to the 2 of them together, he just ain't the same Doyle.

Does anyone know of any future plans for the Arc Angels or if he will be doing anything else?

Re: Doyle Bramhall II

I know they settled some of their personality differences, but don't know what that means for Arc Angels.  Probably nothing...Doyle stays very busy.

I also liked the cuts he did with Susan Tedeschi a while back.   Better than the Sheryl Crow stuff?  I don't know; haven't listened to the SC collaboration.

It would be nice, though

I'm a big fan as well, and often wonder the same things.

I did catch the Sheryl Crow stop in Houston with Doyle on guitar. I'm not a huge fan of hers either, but Doyle adds a nice element to her band - and he's the ultimate "cut up" on stage.

Usually there are a few Arc Angels shows each year -- I caught their show in Houston a couple of years ago. During that show they played 2 "new" songs which provided everyone hope for a new project, but nothing has come of it.

Doyle seems to have become comfortable as a part of a band -- playing with Clapton for years, and now Sheryl Crow -- but not putting out any Doyle II stuff. I think Charlie does the same thing.

I've been hoping for years that the Arc Angels would get back together and put something out -- but it doesn't appear it is going to happen. I guess they either don't have the desire to do so, or without any major label support it may not be feasible.

Doyle also had "Jellycream" before "Welcome" with Smokestack. Both good releases, IMO.

They do the reunions on a pretty regular basis -- depending on schedule. At the least they do a gig or two in Austin, and at the most they do a few cities.

Re: Doyle Bramhall II

Thank you for all the responses.

I saw the Arc Angels on the last tour they did and have the DVD.  I was hoping that was a start of maybe some more material.  I hope that they do a new album together because I really like them.
I like Doyle's solo stuff too.  I like all the guys and know they do session work.  Rogers Waters is touring, but Doyle will not be there.  I hope I still get a chance to go to see Roger, awesome show.

If anyone hears anything, please post it here and I will do the same.

Thanks so much smile

I'll go out with this because this is just one of my favorites that he does.  Does anyone know who the 2 drummers are by any chance on this video?
