It's the August issue.  It's not in Wisconsin yet either--at least not my city.  If you do find it in Michigan, please advise.  I'll do the same for you if I find it here.  Because it's dated material, most places will only hold it for a day.

Fret,

I'll be darned. I didn't know you live in Wisconsin! I should have guessed it, because all good people live here, right?

Roy,
We're practically neighbors!  Okay, I'm about an hour and a half drive away--but that's close.  I drove to Menomonee Falls a couple times when I worked for a company whose home office was based there.  All I remember was look for the "Silver Springs" exit.

Re: Vintage Guitar Cover

I have seen Vintage Guitar in a lot of Borders around me too- just checked in Barnes & Noble yesterday- nothing- not even an old issue of Vintage Guitar... odd...

Scott,
Maybe they were sold out of July?  August should be out today.  I would try again.

Fret,

You know what? I've been looking for someone to teach my son and I guitar. Unfortunately, 1 1/2 hours drive one way for a lesson is a little far. Hey, I've got an idea. Why don't you relocate to the Menomonee Falls area?.................LOL

Roy

Roy,
You are pretty close to Milwaukee.  I could give you the name of one of my former students who is studing music there in the Fall.  He turned down Berkelee in favor of Milwaukee, I suppose to be closer to home and cost.  He's only 18, but he is an Absolutely AMAZING jazz guitarist!  It's funny, because I'll be taking on one of his former students this week.

Re: Vintage Guitar Cover

Well, my copy is on hold.  B&N literally just pulled them out of the box.  I'm guessing if Wisconsin has them, everyone has them by now.

Hi-

I just got back from B&N in Boardman, Ohio and they only have the July issue.  He scanned the July issue and his little computer was beeping.  That means that the Aug. magazine was shipped, but they don't no the actual date that the magazine will be at the store.  I hope to have one in my possession by Friday!

Re: Vintage Guitar Cover

My frowns have now turned into smile smile smile smile smile smile smile  As I giggled with glee, 2 issues in hand, showing to my gal pals, a young man looking at other guitar mag, puts his down, looks at what I got and picks himself up a copy.  (Cracked me up)  Get up to the check out counter and the clerk says,  "Excuse me, do you know you have two copies of that?"  I was still laughing and said," I would buy the whole darn stack, but I should leave some for others to read about Joe!"  She then looks at my purse and says, "Well there he is on your keychain with that same guitar!"  and then she cracked up when I opened my wallet and there was another picture of Joe......... I just might have a problem........... lol

Now prior to this I was at an afternoon bank party at The Market and had 4 Joe shows to give out to some of the "hipper" employees.  My new friends Molly & Holly left with BIG SMILES on their faces.  I will be anxious to hear what they think.  I think I am pretty safe in saying that there will be some more Joe fans "born tonight."
