Topic: Steel Panther

Has anybody ever heard of these guys?  I found them on Youtube the other day and they sorta are part comedy act, part 80's metal band.  They are very talented but a word of caution they are very rude and not something you want your children to listen to.  My favorite song they have is "Death To All But Metal" and "The Shocker"  VERY CRUDE SONGS!!!  But its cool because its a definate throwback to the 80's good times mind set.  If your easily offended don't bother looking these guys up.

Re: Steel Panther

Saw them support ZZ Top. Very good at what they do as long as you don't take them seriously. They are supporting Def Leppard & Motley Crue in the UK next month.

Re: Steel Panther

They're regulars @ the House of Blues in Hollywood. They took Spinal Tap to another level and it seems to be working.

Re: Steel Panther

I love the first CD, very very funny and they can really play too. I love that kinda 80's hair metal  cool
Got the second CD recently and it has some good songs on it but not as good as the first one.
Quite tempted to go see Def Lep and Motley Crue. I have a feeling that Steel Panther might blow them both off the stage  lol

I could use a little more cowbell

Re: Steel Panther

Sweet! My just said I was a pervert.  Glad I'm not the only one.

Re: Steel Panther

Steel Panther Rawk, satch is right up there with the best of them. The tour with Def and Motley I believe is equal billing they are all doing full sets, hence the shows start early.

Re: Steel Panther

Fantastic band. Saw them live at the House of Blues in Vegas last June. Outragous!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their guitarist is truly talented. Don't like the new cd as much as the first but still goos. Raunch and Roll.

When I was a child I spoke as a child, But all I heard was how I should get ahead,
Now growing up it ain't anything but all This indecision with these debts and doubts
And worries hanging over my head. When I was a child I spoke as a child,
I wish I could remember what I said.

Re: Steel Panther

They play Vegas all the time.

It’s along the same line as The Boogie Nights, Metal Shop and The Spazmatics. It all started with The Boogie Nights back in the mid 80’s
The Boogie Night would open for the one and one 1/2 hit wonder band Roxanne. Roxanne and The Boogie Night are all the same guys in both bands. Jamie Brown the singer for both bands and others owns Perfect World Entertainment.

They are a bunch of great guys.

Re: Steel Panther

The Spazmatics are a unique concept, not the "Nerds that rock" '80's hits, but there are Spazmatics franchises all over the states all doing the same schtick.

Re: Steel Panther

Checked out some Steel Panther on Youtube. There's no denying they've got that 80's Metal Band schtick absolutely nailed. Solid musicianship and their Motley Crue vibe is pretty amazing. I must be getting old though, the lyrics made me a little uncomfortable.

I'd like to think I'm not a prude, but a little goes a long ways. I'd enjoy them more if they backed it off a bit. Quite a bit, actually. Still got a kick out of them though.

Re: Steel Panther

Absolutely love them.. Been following them for a while now, and I just find them hillarious - but great musicians too! Such a great idea for a band - and it works too!  lol

They're kind of like the Heavy Metal "Dan Band"
