Listened to Drastic Plastic a lot when i was a teenager, and Bill Nelson had one of the best tones in the 70's if you go back
who's gonna dig up some Be Bop Deluxe vids, very dreamy crisp rock sound they had and Bill Nelson with that big red guitar i always remember.

Count me as a big fan of Be Bop Deluxe and Bill Nelson.  For me the band's Modern Music is an island album for sure.

Heaven's above Geoff, this is making me feel old  sad  .  I remember buying and listening constantly to Futurama (on vinyl, back in the day).

Yes Lyn, I started with the vinyl album before that, Axe Victim,  which I think was 1974.......Old?? Nooooo, you're as old as you feel smile

Wow, Axe Victim. Caught him as that was released back then. Dagenham Roundhouse I think it was.

Breathtaking player. I really thought he was the new guitar god at that time. He could do everyhing and more. But he actually didn't want that. He and people like Ronnie Montrose really followed their own paths, never wanting to be pidgeonholed.

Very bright man, sharp dude and a great writer
