Re: 9/11

Tia showed me the Clydesdales crossing that bridge (I knew then already where they were going) and looking at ground zero on YouTube FaceBook or WTF one of 'em.  I collapsed to my knees and lost it.  I sobbed out loud; on top of knowing what I had to do (tomorrow) today.

It was gut wrenching.  So wrong.

Re: 9/11

We were watching the TV in the Pentagon when I mentioned to an old timer that "wouldn't it be something if they hit the Pentagon", which he replied rather sternly, "There's no way they would attack the Pentagon"!  In less than a minute in a small screen we see a raging fire and realize it's the Pentagon!  I calmly called my wife and mother and five of us scrambled out of the building.  Outside was the most surreal and disturbing thing I've ever seen.  The blackest smoke raging across the building, bodies both alive and dead with terrible burns in which the cries of pain were unbearable.  I was in the Mezzanine level on corridor 8 which is underground so we did not hear or feel the impact.  Outside was pure chaos as we quickly beat feat to a coworkers apartment some four miles away.  When I arrived home some six hours later my phone was ringing all day and night with people worried about me.  There was a couple that we had been fighting with sitting on my balcony and cheering that I had made it home.  Truly a sad day for America.

Awestruck
