Topic: Ever heard about Nina Attal ?

Well she's a french, nearly-18-year-old blues singer/guitarist. She started learning the guitar at the age of 13, she made her first gigs at 16 and her first album (or EP, I don't know exactly) is due in the spring.

I like her voice, and she isn't bad with the guitar either. Here are some YouTube videos and her MySpace

There are many others, check in the related videos wink

Re: Ever heard about Nina Attal ?

She has a great voice.  I especially like it on "As," "Jealous Guy," and "Lonely Man" on her Myspace page.  Tremendous potential for such a youngster, and she's already really good.

Re: Ever heard about Nina Attal ?

I stumbled across her on youtube searching for "still alive and well" (johnny winter cover)
She played it great and looked all of maybe 16 years old. She is with out a doubt the real thing and a great performer, and if I may say so a "hottie". She is doing a lot of funk/soul now and her band is awesome. search her on youtube and filter by upload date. her most recent stuff was posted only a few days ago.

Guenter, she is a passable guitar player but I must say her hot funk rock band (excellent keys and bass) had the bums out of their seats in Tremblant.....

Yeah, Angus was influenced deep in the blues! Very underrated as a guitarist imo.

Re: Ever heard about Nina Attal ?

I checked out the vids and listened to samples off her EP and would rate her an average guitarist/singer at best.
Keep 'em coming though Plutux - I'm always keen to hear of new artists.

That makes three of us. I saw her last night at a local Blues Festival. Good and competent band but the songwriting material is mediocre, I'm afraid. Good voice, though, and she does have talent as a player. My biggest criticism is her OD guitar tone which sounded as if she played through a fully cranked Boss Metal Zone.

Ah, but I had seen Otis at Chesapeake only three weeks before, so I knew what to expect!  wink And they didn't disappoint....and it was perfect that they were the last act at night. In fact, I'm going to put on some Otis right now.  cool
