Topic: MR BIG !

Mr. Big totally rocked out last as they opened for Whitesnake @ Pittsburgh’s Trib Amphitheater.
.
Original members Eric Martin on vocals, Paul Gilbert on guitar, Billy Sheehan on bass &
Pat Trophey on drums in my opinion should have been the headliners……
They opened with “Daddy, Brother, Lover & Little Boy” (The electric drill song in which Paul uses a cordless drill
across the strings of his guitar) I wish they had played more than their allotted hour…
.
Paul Gilbert-(Mr. Big) & Reb Beach (Whitesnake)-are both Pittsburgh natives it was too bad they did not play a solo together…
.
David Coverdale’s (Whitesnake) voice went out around half way through the show, too much screaming through his career...
.
Les Paul king Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake) was the driving force for the band….He was incredible...to say the least.

And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually.........

Re: MR BIG !

This Friday is Billy Sheehan's homecoming to Buffalo. Now if work doesn't get in the way I'll be there...
Had the "What If" CD cranked as I was tooling down the Mass Pike this afternoon.  If you don't own it, then GET IT! big_smile

Major Tom to ground control...

Re: MR BIG !

I love the Kotzen version of Mr. Big.  "Superfantastic" off Get Over It is in my top 100 songs of all time.
Here's a nice unplugged version
