Topic: Chris Weaver Band

I've already mentioned one of the bands I saw last weekend in Nashville, but special mention should be given to the second band I saw, the Chris Weaver Band.  I had a bit of free time to investigate the bands playing on Nashville's legendary Broadway strip and the one that seemed to stand out was the Chris Weaver Band.  As noted in my post in Jonny Lang's thread - Chris Weaver sings in a gravelly voice similar to Jonny's.  I'll attache the band's website and if you go to the music tab and listen to his music I  think you'll agree with me.

My wife and I got to the Tin Roof, which is actually outside the strip, about 45 minutes early and there was only 10 to 15 people in the place.  Those numbers would soon swell to full capacity when Chris hit the stage.  I must confess to being comfortably numb by this time, but from the outset you could tell this was no ordinary band.  They opened with some nicely performed covers, but it was the band's original music that was the show's highlight.  Chris Weaver Band is a regional soon to be nationally known band.  Their first album is currently available on iTunes and I expect they'll capture CMT or VH1's attention very soon.

I should also mention that I've never been to a show with so many good-looking young women and the odd thing was all of them were wearing dresses.  Chris is apparently easy on the eyes for southern gals.
