No worries, I can wait! Just don't mind my drooling waiting...

Seems he's changed his music. I won't walk out now, but I still don't go for it that much.

He hasn't really changed recently. He already did that years ago.

I guess I'm biased. 4 years ago, his tour bus ran the generator all night long 20 feet from our rental condo in Mammoth. The neighbors finally called the cops at 4 am. Then he wanked his set with mindless shredding. We (8 of us) walked. If he's improved, good for him. I figured he was done for.
Rick
Well all I can say is that his set me was brilliant, he and his band were so nice and his voice is a gift from god. He followed some mind blowing sets and still pulled it off.

I'm gonna have to side with Martin on this one - Jonny does have an old man's voice that for me IS on loan from God. I caught a show early in his career and the thing that struck me then is he is no guitar hero. There was another guy doing most of the leads and Jonny was just riffing. That voice though has always been his hook. I heard a singer this past weekend in Nashville named Chris Weaver that very much reminded me of Jonny. I told the bass player and drummer this before the gig and they both reacted like it was a big complement. Btw, the few here who like country tinged rock should check Chris out.
Seen him many times and yes, Jonny sure can get into a song. Appears he's been playing a LP a little more than the Thinline that he always played. Very nice video Martin!

OK folks, you've convinced me. I'll always be one to give another chance. I had such a bad taste from that one gig I never would have spent a dime to see him again. He was hugely disappointing. That was the first and only time I've ever walked out during a set, and I pray the last. Next time he's around I'll give a listen.
