Stacie Collins Band

I was lucky enough to be at The Beaverwood Club on Tuesday night to see a really great gig from Stacie Collins and her slam-bang rock 'n' roll band. I'd not heard of them at all a few weeks ago, but decided to go following a tip off the last time I was at The Beaverwood last month.

Coming out of Nashville, they have a rather different sound to what you might expect. This is a no nonsense rock 'n' roll band that rocks. The album their sound most reminds of is Exile On Main Street. Stacie Collins herself is a totally captivating frontlady with her charismatic personality and commanding stage presence, high energy levels, and her powerful singing and harmonica playing. An inspired move from Pete Feenstra to book the SCB for both The Boom Boom Club and The Beaverwood. I can't wait for them to come back for another tour. The short UK tour is now over and the band have headed across to Europe.
