Topic: JB and DT?

Joe tweeted yesterday: "Bospop with Dream Theater... It will be my first time to see these guys... Very excited... following Thin Lizzy to boot!"

These are our two favorite acts, Joe and Dream Theater! So what did you think, Joe? Did you play with them? Did you meet the band before/after the show? Was there any shop talk with John Petrucci? Was Derek there too? How about Kevin Shirley?

Re: JB and DT?

When i go and see BCC at High Vo;tage, it won't be just a first, but a first for all the acts on that day! Excited!!

Re: JB and DT?

After my first post, I researched Bospop a little bit more and realized it was a festival with lots of acts, including BCC, Think Lizzy, DT and many others. I do wonder what Joe's impression was of DT, but I guess it wasn't the same thing as Joe just catching a DT show on a night off or something.

If that festival had been over on this side of the pond, I'd have been there!

Re: JB and DT?

D&J, the Bospop gig was amazing! Beautifull weather, nice atmosphere and of course what a line-up!
For me Philip Sayce and BCC did it! But also very nice to see were Malina Moye, Walter Trout and Popa Chubby!
I'm sorry to say I left at the half of the DT part. Was very courious, but after BCC it didn't impress me much. It was good though, I think it's just me I guess. On my way back to the bike (which was over 20 of walking, they blocked all the streets for parking and every parking lot was at 20 minutes of walking) I enjoyed the rest of the concert. What I really missed was seeing the drummer using all the possibilities of this amzingly DRUMKIT (yes, in capitols) and judging of what I heard while walking back I think I decided well not to wait for it.... It didn't happen, what surprised me utterly! What I liked though was the synthesizer.
