Topic: Brad Paisley

I still think it'd be good to see Joe collaborate with Brad Paisley on something.  I mean, if there's a country version of Joe's blinding ability it's Brad.  Breathtaking sweep picking (I think that's how how he does it!) and often challenging, intelligent lyrics - no matter that he's already done something with John Mayer - It's probably time to work with the greatest of all. Although how Joe would find the time is beyond me - I share Glenn Hughes's concerns about both ends of the candle!

I concur.

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

Wow! I must have really individual taste!  I mean, I post about Mick Abrahams and no-one replies at all.  Brad Paisley gets one reply - thanks Guido - so I'm forced to conclude that I'm a weirdo who only likes stuff that no-one else likes.  Except Guido.  Although this Joe Bonamassa chap seems to have a bit of a following. tongue

Hi Keith,

To some degree you're right about the interest here with Country artists, but there are some (me included).  Joe has demonstrated his interest with chicken pickin' guitar playing on the excellent "Revenge of the Ten Gallon Hat" and the recent collaboration with John Hiatt and Vince Gill "Tennessee Plates".  I'd love to see him do something with Brad Paisley.  That would be pretty cool.  I'd like to point out though that Brad's nowhere near Nashville's best picker.  My nod for that claim would be Johnny Hiland.  Like Bryan Lee, Johnny's legally blind but you'd never know it from listening to him.  Here's a vid of him doing "Mercury Blues".  Tell me what you think.....
