You just beat me to it Susan, so I'll copy what I wrote and delete my post.

Re: RIP Clarence Clemons

Very sad, I had hoped like everybody else that he'd make a full recovery to blast that sax once again.

Re: RIP Clarence Clemons

I have been listening to him play that sax for 40 years.  Don't think I ever heard a bad note.

RIP Big Man.

If you look up to the heavens just before the start of every Joe Bonamasaa concert you can see Stevie, Jimi, Muddy, Gary and others leaning over God’s railing jockeying for the best view.
And if you listen, you can hear Stevie say  “ SHHhhhh,  The kids about to start playing.”

How sad to hear that Clarence has passed. They broke the mould when he was made. Rest peacefully Big Man.

Re: RIP Clarence Clemons

I never really thought about it much before now, (never been a big Bruce fan, although I've appreciated him more in the last few years than I ever did growing up in NY), but those songs were all brought to another level with those saxophone solos. More defining of the Springsteen sound than anything else IMO. That's a great legacy for a musician...RIP Clarence

Re: RIP Clarence Clemons

There were nice tributes on the National News tonight. I had a blast at these shows. Talk about high energy! And that sax went right thru you. Another legend I'll store in my memory band.  C

Re: RIP Clarence Clemons

Another friend of mine gone.  The emotional climax of a record, lyrically stated, a record company giving out a big advance, those days have passed away also......Rosalita solo on my mind,...gently.

Big Love For the Big man, Peace my Brother(s), Always.
