I saw him last year Martin, just wasn't sure about the heaviness for Maryport, that's all.

Right up there with my favourite players! Caught him last year in Liverpool, very intimate gig but he just ripped through his set with such ferocity it blew us all away, hoping against hope he comes back up north again on his far too few uk dates.
Hi philip is performing at the maryport blues festival on sat 30th july.

Looks as though I am going to have to change my flight home after High Voltage to see him at the Borderline. It will cost me but will be worth it.

good man kenny, look forward to seeing you there at the front ready for the guitar onslaught
We have an army of 25 of us from two small towns going to the tunnels venue in Bristol on the 27th. We will also be at high voltage on sunday and would loved to have gone to the borderline on the monday but due to travel and accomodation arrangements already made this is not now possible as we had already got tickets for the tunnels before the borderline gig was announced

Flight home changed Roger - do I wear a flower in my ear so that we don't stand next to each other not knowing?
The Borderline website mentions supporting Deep Purple later in the year...............now that would be a feather in his cap so to speak.

Hi Everyone. Long time reader here, first time poster.
I also got a chance to review Philip's new album, so I thought I would share. According to the press kit I received he'll also have another studio album out next March as he was recently in Nashville recording it. Here's the link to the review,
