Not bad - decent voice but.............she'll never be the next JB playing bass!
Just had a quick browse of her website and didn't manage to find the name of her guitarist - or the rest of the band.

You can listen to every track off Chasin' Tail on youtube, and the audio is decent. I really like what I heard there; Fender Strat electric blues, with a solid and tight rhythm section and great vocal tone and phrasing. I'll be picking that CD up soon!
Go here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSFkG2bz … re=related and the different tracks should be on the right.
Re: The Next Joe Bonamassa?
Shes got some talent. But the next Jb?Come on now lets not get carried away
Your hard sweet and sticky
Re: The Next Joe Bonamassa?
At this moment in time, my vote for the next guitarist, influenced by Joe, who will make it big, must go to Ryan McGarvey. I don't believe in saying "next" anyone. I think SO many players were labeled the "Next SRV", that his style, which I LOVE, was belittled. That's a shame. Regardless, this old heart is warmed by all the young players discovering Blues/Rock. The future is bright. Cathy

That is what I was thinking. Just a marketing tool on Facebook. The Next Joe B? Not a chance. She is a chick and she plays bass. Sounded pretty been there done that, to me. The Fender Strat tone I have heard a thousand times before. Sorry to be so jaded but I'm just not easily impressed. Good luck to her but I suggest she tries to be the next Anni Piper.

Egad Jim, "she is a chick"? A bit on the chauvinist side, wouldn't you say?

Yes I'm a bit of a chauvinist. I just can't believe that somebody would draw attention to an artist using that tag line. Not only a chick but a bass playing chick. I do appreciate the fact that Joe is now the guy to aspire to be though.
I doubt Anni Piper would really approve being sold like that. Unless you mean successful bluesman or woman. I just think that to compare them is ludicrous. I do like the guys guitar playing in the video I saw but he isn't reinventing the wheel if you know what I mean. Not that Joe has either but he did try to find his own voice with it even it he borrowed heavily from others.

Re: The Next Joe Bonamassa?
I'm really digging the Chasin' Tail CD. Like others have mentioned I doubt she wrote that promo copy. Perhaps easier said than done with this audience, but try to enjoy the music for what it is, without getting hung up on the whole "next JB" comment. I like that it's pretty much a straight-forward and striped down 3-piece band. I like that the guitar player uses a strat most of the time too. It's just fun to listen to.
