So I'm listening to Sirius Blues in the car this past weekend and I hear this song:

And I think, Wow, this is pretty awesome acoustic resonater blues guitar.
I had never heard of this guy until a few days ago.  I guess he's been around along time but just hasn't hit my radar screen.  Thank You Sirius for the introduction


Fast forward to today and I'm looking at the lineup for the Doheney Blues Fest this weekend and what do you know, Doug is the playing and is the first act on "Backporch" stage on Saturday.  Bonus for me!

I hope to get his CD at the show, or if not, there's always Amazon.

Saw him some months ago playing live in front of about 20 people.
Stunning gig if you like it acoustic.
His resonator guitar sounds great live.

Haven't heard the new album so far, but it's on the shopping list.
One of my favourite albums is "The Utrecht Sessions".
