Jetstar airlines, Worst ever! 5 grand in excess baggage and they "tried" take the 59 from me as a carry on. Half sold airbus 320.. **** You!! I will not in good conscience give some airline hack a 200,000 dollar guitar because they said so... again... **** You!!"

I think id make the road crew go in the hold before i put my 59 in there personally (if i had one of course  )

Ah good old Jetstar.  Unfortunately a pretty bad airline when it comes to service in the air.  Whenever I fly, I will almost always pay extra to fly a 'real' airline instead of a budget one like Jetstar.  Sadly, service overall is going down the tubes rapidly with nearly all airlines, but at least with Qantas or Singapore Airlines, you are treated like a human...

On an aside note - so happy to hear that Joe is bringing the '59 to Aus...

Didn't really have the experience you had Joe, but 16 hours from LA to Sydney, without a TV or call button had us fuming on Quantas. Poor service and cattle class is not a good receipe to get returning customers. Flying Etihad in September. Quantas can go .........!

and beauty queens!  Love the Thais. *sigh*  A story for a laugh:

Right after first son was born (who is now 22 and back at home.  help me Jesus.) I took the DivineOne to my favorite Thai Restaurant down in the south end where worked a sultry exotic beauty, with whom  I was completely enamored.  She was lovely and liked me, but father & brothers gave me the iron face.  I spent money and always ate well, so they were professional.

Anyway, we walked in and MsBangcockLove lit up, took the baby out of mommy's arms, and disappeared into the kitchen.  MsTia freaked.  She figured out right quick, big daddy has been here before.  Dao reappeared with child seat and put us in this hidden circular booth. You know the table where the kingpins hold court...

Ten minutes Papa Joe was there complimenting the Mrs. on beautiful child, and I was a good guy and so on n so forth.  Brother Large shoved flunky aside and waited on us himself.  It was a good night. 

I got the feeling there was some relief there, that I was not a complete rogue trying to play their star.

Emirates are my fave airline. If they fly the route I'm taking I always go with them. I've taken guitars onboard with no hassle in my trusty leather Reunion Blues gig bag....in fact on one flight the captain wanted a quick strum in the cockpit of my Tele!
Anyay, I'm impressed you take such a valuable piece of history to such far flung destinations, its so nice to see them played than hanging on walls or locked in vaults and ignore those nuts on FB who scoffed at its value, like I said on there if YOU don't deserve one then who does? Bankers? Lawyers? Way to go JB, enjoy it mate....its well earned.
