Topic: Las Vegas show #2

Hey Everybody,
I am sorry to announce that I have to cancel tonight.. It seems I have picked up a sinus infection that has spread to my throat. I think they call it Vegas throat. Apparently its comon for people not used to super low levels of humidity to get it after a few days in Vegas.   Its kinda of hard to sing with that.  I do regret having to cancel.  I am sorry to all those who travel so far to come and see these shows in vegas. Anyway part of the 200 show year thing I guess.  We are going to Maryland tonight and I think I will be better tomorrow.
thanks again

I'll bring you more Airborne in Dallas. Meanwhile, stop at the closest Wal-Mart.
Take care of that beautiful voice.

Bummer, man!!!!

Gosh, I hope you feel much better, pronto!  I've recently moved from the UK to Vegas and I know what you mean about DRY and what it does to your sinuses & throat.

We were blessed with the opportunity to see you last night at Santa Fe and look forward to your next Vegas endeavor.

BTW, been playing the CD non-stop since we picked it up last night (thanks for the signing!) and it's kick-ass!  Thank you for breathing new, young life into the blues!  It's always be a staple for me, but now, with vintage and your own music I'm introducing the genre to all my "rock-only" and "hip-hop-only" friends and family.
- with great success!
Take care of yourself - we need you!

Joe, take care of yourself, and I hope you feel better soon!!!

Ran into Joe downstairs and he looked wiped out. Tara got him more Airborne and hopefully he'll be feeling much better by the time he gets to Maryland for the festival.

Jane, Melissa, and whoever else might be in attendance tomorrow - have a wonderful time! The show is incredible!

The blues isn't about a look or a specific sound, the blues is something deep within. But the sound doesn't hurt things, you know? ~ Ben Hernandez

Joe,

We are heading down to Md today..over 3 hour drive but worth it...take it easy and hopefully you feel better and can have a great show tonite...guess you will have to throw in more solos to rest the voice! smile smile ...praying that rain holds off so it sure isn't Vegas weather which may help you recover...

Joe smoked the Maryland show tonite...rain was an issue but it cleared enough for Joe to play...he was amazing and told me after the show he feels much better and always tries to post when he can...

I totally sympathize.  I play in a local band and it's not desert, but after spending about five minutes in a smokey casino (where we have the gig), I can tell It's gonna be a rough night vocally.  Kinda wierd, but I opt for drinking chocolate milk during the gig.
Not only does it make me feel younger (in my mind), it keeps the chords lubed up.  I don't buy into the "milk causes extra congestion" theory.  The slight coating properties are pretty soothing in those conditions.

Feel better.

Sorry to hear that you were so sick.  My wife and I had long anticipated our trip out there in Vegas to see you.  We hope to catch you in Copper Mountain at the end of July!
