Topic: zack wylde on american idol last night

Wow...
Zack Wylde stole the show playing guitar on "Heavy Metal" last night for American Idol for James Durban....
Just incredible on His Bull Eye Les paul with Emg's...(Maybe I should put some EMG's in my Les Paul or Sg)

And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually.........

well Don, if Brack's gonna be a buzz killer big_smile , then we'll talk about the pickups. I don't think I would modify the LP with EMG's, unless you are just real unhappy with the sound. Maybe the SG, but depends on what year,etc. I would not modify the SG if it was a 60's or 70's issue.
My son put the ZW EMG's in his Epiphone LP and he loves them. They completely changed the sound, Epi on steroids. We missed last night, son was miffed but we will try to catch on a rerun.

An extra set of Emg's...maybe I should sell them here or on Flea Bay  ...You're right I should not put those in a Les Paul,what was I thinking.
I have a beater 83' Sg I might put them in there since it's really beat and played to death...needs restored and a "face lift"
Although I think the Sg has Tim Shaw pickups in it.(stamped on the back with a date of 83)..but not totally sure if they are .
