Topic: Michael Burks Blues In The Schools Winterswijk!!!!!!!!

I'm very proud to anounce that Michael Burks does a Blues In The Schools at my school De Driemark in Winterswijk Thursdayafternoon November 25th. In the evening he does a publicshow in De Kreil in Winterswijk.

2 years ago I asked Joe, who  introduced me to BITS, if he would like to do a BITS at my school, he did, and that was the start for me to organise a BITS every year. All musicians I asked at concerts said : the same as Joe: SURE! (They do it for free!!)
In 2008 we had Joe Bonamassa , 2009 Marcel Scherpenzeel from Wolfpin, 2010 Michael Burks and 2011  I know already but secret...must be a surprise!

So far Lance Lopez, Danny Bryant, Stoney Curtis, Ana Popovic, Henrik Freischlader, Hans Theessink all said yes. The problems is that it has to fit into the tour- and schoolschedule.

My intention is to do a BITS every year, till I retire in 5 years. Must be possible I think.

Blues In The Schools is a great idea and should be supported! smile

I'm not sure if Oli Brown has any plans to play Holland in the near future, but he is one you should approach. He's still young enough to relate to pupils and he regularly appears at similar events in the UK when time allows.

Thanks for your kind words. When  he is in Holland and I meet  him I'll ask him for sure and put him on the list as well.
The best time to do a BITS at my school is in October/November, but we'll see. Only 1 a year is possible not more.

That’s interesting regarding the Blues in School! Hope that the said BITS are already successful. Are you still organizing BITS this year in your school in De Driemark? If possible, when will be next schedule?
