Topic: Assembly of Dust, Some Assembly Required

Curby shipped me this in a batch of stuff and I'd never heard of them. A core of  good ole Southern Rock and smooth ballads, it immediately had me thinking back to Buffalo Springfield and The Band from Big Pink. Stellar music with a bunch of great guest artists. Lyrics that make you think. Here is a cut, Leadbelly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gerKNsGjWJs&NR=1
This won't gather dust on your shelf. Thank you Curby, and if you get this you will thank him too.

Rick,
Your description of the band is spot on as they say.  Reid Genauer is the genius behind AOD.  I'd compare Some Assembly Required to Slash's fine compilation in that guest artists put their stamp with the band on individual songs.
Here's a nice vid of AOD at an outdoor festival.  The guitarist is doing his best Jerry Garcia impersonation and you gotta love that girl with the hula hoop.

Gotta love those hula hoop girls. Helen just loves this album. Her comment last night from the kitchen as she prepared our meal and the disc played, " Wow, great voices, smooth harmony, melodies and good playing, where have these guys been?"
