Topic: Anaheim

Well folks,  I'll be at this show second row center,  we won't have Bogie, so it will be the first show with the new drummer.

Any one else going?  Any thoughts on a new drummer?

Re: Anaheim

Just got a call from the Anaheim venue, they called to tell me this show will start one half hour early. 8:00 now instead of 8:30

Re: Anaheim

I will be right behind you! 3rd row center lol smile

Keep looking at the bright side~~ Lindy

Re: Anaheim

Good Day,

My Sheila and I, will be there!

Tier 2 table 230

Cheers Mates!

Re: Anaheim

Susan and I will be there as well.  My tickets say row A , but looking at the venue's website, I think alot of the seating is at tables for dinner.  Not sure how it will all work out, but I'm looking forward to the show.

The seating is broken down into "tiers" if you are row "A" Tier 1 you are front row very close to the stage,  seat #25 is center on the aisle. There is no photo pit between front row and the stage. Tier one is all regular seating, no tables. The table seating starts in tier 2.  If you are Tier 1 you also will get free parking, (show your ticket when asked to pay) and entrance to the VIP lounge before the show.  As this is a dinner venue and tier 1 does not have tables, you can eat dinner in the lounge before the show. You are not required to buy dinner you are in tier 1 and tier 5, but dinner purchase is required in the other tiers. (I always pass on dinner at the venue as there are some great places to eat nearby)

The VIP lounge's entrance faces the parking lot, you can enter right there, if not tier 1 then you have to walk around to the left.

Will there be a meet up before the show?

Re: Anaheim

Thanks Fred.  I appreciate the information

We're A25 & A26.

Sounds like you are pretty familiar with the area.  There's probably 5 or 6 other forum members, including some from back east, that are coming in for the show.  If you are familiar with the area, how about organizing a pre-game tailgate at a decent watering hole not too far from the venue.

Hey Rock Farmer, Yeah this is my favorite "home" venue, I live about 5 miles from it. I've also been to many shows here and as I know the "trick" so I tend to get seats in the first 4 rows for just about any band that plays there. I just saw War there 12/30/10 from the front row. Plus I’ve seen, Jeff Beck, Lindsey Buckingham, Alan Parsons, Blue Oyster Cult, and Robert Cray all from tier 1 seats! Just to name a few.

Looks like I’m sitting right behind you.  Row B on the aisle seat.  (This means I’ll be standing right next to you if the crowd stands up.)

The most convenient place for a meet up is the Catch, they are literally, right across the street, like maybe 25 paces from door to door.  They have a large bar area but no reservations.  Dinner ranges from about $15 for a burger to $35 for a steak or fancy fish meal.  http://www.catchanaheim.com/ I’m going to be hanging out at the Catch, I’m working that day but will get off early and get to the Catch around 5 to hold a table. First round is on me!  Looking forward to meeting some of you Bonaaddicts!

If you’re looking for good but cheaper places there are these two:

There is a place called JT Schmidt’s it’s about .6 miles from the Grove (A ten minute walk maybe) food is cheaper but not as good as the Catch.  http://jtschmidsrestaurants.com/

Then there is a really good steak place called the “Prime Cut Café”  http://primecutcafe.com/, this place is about a mile and a half from the Grove.  The food is really good there and the prices reasonable, however, the bar area is not that large, and it’s beyond walking distance.

See you there!

Re: Anaheim

The Catch it is then.  We'll see you there around 5.  I'll also post on the jbxp site

Re: Anaheim

Ok all you Bonaexperts I have a question.  Yes it's true that I'm a Bonavirgin and this Anaheim show will be my first. So what will he play?  As you all know he has a new album in the can with a March release, will he play most of the new album at this Anaheim gig?

I know we wil get the hits, but how much of the new album to you experts think he'll play?

Thanks

Oh Forever young, stay warm, I heard you got a lot of snow these last few days.  I don't think you'll need to worry about it snowing here in Anaheim! (it's 80 degrees here today) I am looking forward to meeting fans that are willing to travel that far for Joe.

I did the cross country thing last February but that was for the Jeff Beck/Eric Clapton gigs at MSG in NY.

I would expect somewhere between 3 and 5 songs from "Dust Bowl". That's pretty typical of recent tours following new releases. He may eventually play more songs from "Dust Bowl", but they are usually worked in over time.

Re: Anaheim

Just guessing, but from the last few tours here on the West Coast right after or just before a new album release, the set should be old standards with 3 or 4 off the new release added. I think Slow Train is a given for one of the new ones. BOJH, Sloe Gin, Mountain Time, Woke Up Dreaming are most likely in as well as the Just Got Paid ensemble finale.

Well I might be a Bonavirgin but I've downloaded a bunch of shows, bought RAH and, DVR'd all the specials, so if Joe plays BOJH, Sloe Gin, Mountain Time, Woke Up Dreaming and the Just Got Paid ensemble finale, I'd be one happy camper!  New stuff will just be an added treat.

Thanks for the quick responses you guys. Still wish you'd come up to Anaheim Rick!

This NOT good news for me! I've been dealing with some things latley and the time slipped by. So here I am 2 weeks away and no tix for this show or any to be had. I do have them for San Diego but we were flying in to LA to see this one as well. It's my fault of course.

If anyone out there can help us out let me know. I don't care if they are at the very top. We just want to be there with you all.

I really appreciate anything anyone can do to help.

I saw a few scalper site tickets still up for San Diego. Google the event and see if any are available that way in Anaheim. The prices have come down for the ones here, about a 30% premium. Good luck. See you down here. Just checked Stub Hub. Front table with dinner deposit, $214 EACH! there are others even higher. Sorry. San Diego is 100% sold out even the scalper sites have none left. A suggestion. Rent a wheelchair and an aircast. I got late tix for my mom who needs a chair if a lot of walking is necessary and there were good wheelchair seats with attendant as pairs. You have to call ticketmaster for these after an online request is made for special access seats.

Just got 2 second tiers on Stubhub. Table 224. So not too bad all things considered.

Thanks to all who tried scoring tix for me!! I will be buying you some drinks  cool

Rick, we are driving down your way Friday morning.

Great news!  See you at the Catch! Have a safe trip!
