He's got this dream about buyin' some land
He's gonna give up the booze and the one night stands
And  then he'll settle down, it's a  quiet little town
And forget about everything

Re: RIP Gerry Rafferty

Don't forget "Stuck in the Middle with You!" I hadn't known he was in Stealer's Wheel until his obit on the news last night.

One of the first 45s I ever played... too young to know what it was about, but I liked it anyway. "Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right!"

Ironically he couldn't give up the booze and it took his liver from reports I read. Tragic loss of a great songwriter. Got his album on vinyl, too bad the turntable is boxed up currently.

Re: RIP Gerry Rafferty

Just replace my vinyl "Night Owl" and "City to City"albums on Itunes. Obviously not played them for years as my turntable was wasted a long time ago. The memories came flooding back and what brilliant production and playing by all the musicians, the guitar work is stunning. I need to research who that was. Two brilliant albums!
