Topic: Eric Clapton Beno Burst LP

Those of you living in the UK who are big Clapton fans will have probally seen his performances on "Later with Jools Holland", anyway for those who didn't see it clapton played four songs in total, and he played 3 Gibsons (no fenders) he played the L5 for 2, a sunburst 335 for crossroads, and more importantly a les paul on "Traveling Alone". It was interesting to see him reunited with an LP after all these years.
Around the same time Gibson announced they were working with clapton to recreate the Beno Les Paul on the Bluesbreaker's album, and I think this was probably a prototype and now the Beno Burst Les Pauls are on the shelves.

Do you think this is a start of clapton going along and playing more gibsons after years as having strats as his main instrment? As he does have 5 shiny new incredibly expensive Beno burst LPs....

So many times in life you see things come full circle and a return to ones roots...

Maybe Eric has been inspired by Joe's playing, it gave him the desire to pick up a LesPaul again.  smile

Re: Eric Clapton Beno Burst LP

Came close last week to grabbing a Clapton LP for nothing more than the investment. 6K!! Common sense and a empty bank account prevailed.

I know of only 2 left for sale.

I bet you $14000 that you're wrong  wink

As far as I know there's only 2 VOS models left available. In 6 months they'll all double in price.
