Topic: Greetings!

Hello to all. My name is Jerry, and my brothers from my motorcycle club call me Foot. I've been into blues/blues rock guitar for as far back as I can remember listening to music. I've been playing for quite some time now as well. I believe Clapton was my biggest influence growing up, and learning to play. I'm a huge fan of Joe's. I'm a fellow New Yorker, and like to think of Joe as one of NY's contributions to keeping the blues alive and well. I love seeing all of the young people at joe's shows, and knowing that they get it.

Hi It's Me! Several years ago I had a tumor grow through my right ankle joint. I had 3 1/2 hrs of surgery to remove it, then they put this heavy duty cast on my ankle and foot. I couldn't drive my car, but used to ride my bike with the foot with the cast on it propped up on the crash bar. One of the guys started calling me Foot, and it just stuck.

I also wanted to point out that, yes, you are correct about EC being an influence on both Joe and myself. I also believe that Joe and I have very similar taste in music. Some of the songs that Joe has covered (Blind Faith, Tull) are old favorites of mine. However, the similarity stops there. Whenever I see Joe play I feel like throwing all of my guitars out the back door! I didn't mean to infer that I play anywhere near the level that Joe does.

Most of us (oldies!) in here have very similar music tastes & influences to yourself. I hope you also discover plenty of new stuff whilst scrolling through posts & clicking links (I certainly have!). Enjoy the ride (pun intended!!  lol ).
