Topic: Joe's Berlin Adventure
My son Chris sent me this brief show report from Berlin.
Yeah it was a great concert and we had a blast. The light-show that he had set up in the theater was fantastic!
He had mixed up his set and played a few songs that I hadn't heard before (or at least couldn't recall having heard). When we arrive in a few weeks we'll have a chance to look at the photos and short movies I took--one of which was quite humorous.
Joe had arrived in Berlin (in casual attire, just like in Bonn)--no jacket, flipflops, etc. It was cold here on the day of the concert--maybe 5 degrees C (40s). He got out of the airport, hopped onto the bus, and then needed to get something from the pharmacy inside the airport. So he goes back out into the airport. He didn't mention if he got what he needed, but when he got back outside the bus was gone.
He was stuck there with no jacket, no shoes, no euros (he had arrived from Sweden!), no telephone, and he didn't know where his gig was at in Berlin. What a shock!
He got help from the information desk, where a lady looked him up online and went to his tour page, whereupon the name of the venue (and address) was discovered. She then gave him a "good will" cash advance against the credit card he didn't have with him so he could afford the taxi ride to the location.
The adventure never stops when you're a rock star.
