Topic: Hello from Florida

Hello from Florida everyone!

I hope I am posting this in the correct place.  Yep. Total Newbie here.

I wanted to share how I am telling friends and family about Joe.

My husband has one of the best chili recipes I've ever tasted.  We usually send it to friends & family once a year in the late summer.  The family always requests something spicy from our kitchen.  This year, they got two kinds of spicy.  You thought right if you guessed they each got a supply of the chili, and a Black Rock CD.  I thought it was the least I could do.  I couldn't let them remain Bonamassa-deprived any longer.  I simply could not believe that most of my family had not ever heard  Joe's music.  Deprived are they no more!

My husband and I are privilaged to catch Joe and the band in Jacksonville in December. We have great seats, and I am beyond excited!!!!

A.H.  I only know of Skyline in Cincinnati.  I was born and raised north of Cinci. (North of Dayton actually).

I need to locate more people in this area who are into Joe's music.  When I mention Joe, I am completely in shock of those who have never heard of him.

Yes, this will be the first time I have had the privilage to attend one of Joe's shows.  SOoo bloomin' excited !!
My husband was excited to hear that I wanted to go to a show.  I haven't bought a concert ticket since 1984.

In the Jacksonville area, WJCT (PBS Affiliate) had Joe's RAH show on.  I was dealing with a flu virus or something and fell asleep shortly after it began airing, and it was the last scheduled showing for September.  Could just kick myself for that, as they sold meet n greet tickets, and I slept thru the opportunity.  However, I am glad to have the tickets we have for the show. big_smile

Thanks for the welcomes.  I like it here.   smile

Welcome, Jen! You'll find a few more Floridians among the regulars here, including one who will be most interested to discuss spicy food with you, although he might present his message as a haiku.  big_smile

Re: Hello from Florida

Hello Jen,
Susan here from Orlando.  My boyfriend(Ken) and I will be at the Jacksonville show too. We're in row G, seats 3 & 4.  Come by and say hello if you get a chance.  We absolutely love the Florida Theater in Jacksonville.  It is a beautiful theater and such a great venue.  This will make the 3rd time seeing Joe there.

We'll also be at the Saturday night show in Orlando and at the Hollywood show the following Friday.   We're very lucky he is doing so many shows in Florida this year.  Wish I could go to all of them.

Counting the days...    cool

Well Hey Susan!!

I surely will!  We are in section 400 Orchestra level area Row N. Seats 5 & 6  In Jax. Kind of half way between the stage and the back area, but on the side of the theatre.  This will be our first time catching any of Joe's shows.   It is also our first time attending anything at The Florida.  Have read about the theatre though.  Tons of history to that place.

I wish I could go to all of Joe's shows here in Florida also.  My husband travels for work and some of these shows fall into a time where he isn't able to go with me- he doesn't panic in heavy traffic where I do. hmm So he does most of the night driving.

Would love to be able to see all of the shows that are close though. That in itself would be wicked awesome.

Will definitely stop by Row G and meet you !
I'm  trying to locate people that are attending in Jax.  I still meet a lot of folks who haven't heard of Joe, so I give them all the info I can while I talk to them.  Not seeming to find locals who want to do any pre show get together for this area though.  Kind of frustrating.  Am sure that will change though when we get to the show.

Hi Ashlynn!

I'm a newbie to the forum also.  You're going to like it here.   smile

To answer your question about great seats...
No friend, I haven't "paid those dues" yet to get those front row seats. Someone has them though.  And lucky they are!
This is my BonaBaptism so to speak. My first time at a Bonamassa show.   I feel privilaged to even have tickets to the show I am attending, and not be all the way in the back of the theatre.   big_smile
