Topic: Stock Vox Wah

So this thread is just to make things clear, I think.

As Joe says that used an stock vox wah. I know that there are several vox wah's on the market. After seeing much pics of joe's old pedalboards, his pedalboard in these days & more I began to go into the wah section. I think we all know that he has a dunlop custom wah but I'm talking about the vox wah right now. Personally, I believe that Joe's using a Vox V846 Wah. I'm just wondering if I'm not confusing the V846 with a V847. Maybe this is a question Joe can answer the best, like the most questions on this forum, but still, let me hear your opinion.

Re: Stock Vox Wah

So what exactly IS your question?  Does he use a v846 or a v847?
I've never seen a picture of a board of his with some crazy wah pedal with all kinds of knobs and adjusters so I'd say whatever his wah selection, it's pretty stock.  All of his pedals otherwise seem to be common pedals anyone can get, so I would imagine his wah is no different.  Again, depending on the particular board and mood. -S.

Re: Stock Vox Wah

I haven't seen nor heard of the v846, but there is a v845 which is supposed to be really good, inexpensive, and more so like the original vox wah circuit design...

I've since been corrected, but it seems the V846 is a discontinued model as VOX doesn't have anything on it...

Re: Stock Vox Wah

There is an easy bypass mod, and if you want some extra groan and high treble you can shave the rubber feet off the pedal wink
