Bird On A Wire/Katie Sagal

I had just about faded out watching last nights episode of Sons of Anarchy when I noticed a familiar tune playing in the background. It brought me out of my semi comatose state when I realized it was Bird On A Wire being sung by a female vocalist and rather well I might add. I did a bit of searching @ the Sons website and found out it was performed by the shows lead actress Katie Sagal. It's got me wondering what prompted them to use the song. I did track down the shows assistant music producer via Facebook last year and messaged her about how Joe's music was a great fit for the show. Could be a stretch, but you never know.
