Topic: PRS event in MD 9/25

I'm looking into going. I know Tallan Latz is playing around 6p.m. on Saturday. Does anybody know when Davy Knowles is scheduled? Sorry I don't have the link. This laptop is weird. Cathy

Re: PRS event in MD 9/25

Hi Cathy,

I know Carl told me that Davy will be going on right after Tallan. I'm thinking that will be around 8:00 PM. I'm not totally sure, but I thought Carl posted the time on Tallan's Facebook page on his post to me. You're going to have such a great time with those two back to back! cool And, I sure do wish I could go with you! smile

Do me a favor, give Tallan a big hug for me and tell Davy I said hello. Have a blast my dear! big_smile

Cathy, more info on this event, please. I've searched on the internet using keywords prs, davy knowles, anything else I could think of, and couldn't find anything about it. Are tickets still available? What time's the show, and where?

Re: PRS event in MD 9/25

Here's what I know. It's called "The PRS Experience". It's a trade show type event, so not really for the general public. Bob (Tarus 52) called and was told the public would not be turned away but would be charged $40 entry fee. For myself, it's worth it. I really want to see Tallan and Davy.
So, at this time I'm probably going to risk it and head down there tomorrow. I have friends in Annapolis, so I can stay with them. I'm old, but I ain't dead yet..lol

D&J..I have your towel from Crossroads!                                       Cathy

Thanks for the info, Cathy,

We would LOVE to see Davy... haven't seen him since he opened for Chickenfoot in Baltimore last year and got to talk with him after his set-- great guy, very friendly, and VERY talented, too. But we are stuck at home until 2 today waiting for a delivery, so even if we headed down there afterwards we wouldn't be able to get there until probably 4-5PM at the earliest. And given that you're saying it's somewhat of a risk for you, I guess we shouldn't risk going all that way and possibly not be able to see him anyway. It's a shame, because it would have been nice to see you and Bob again, too! So please hang on to our towel a while longer...  smile

We have two concerts on our calendar; Hendrix at Hershey on 11/9 and Joe in W-B on 11/17. Are you going to be at either of these?

Re: PRS event in MD 9/25

There was zero hassle getting in. It's held on a parking lot in a small industrial park inside a HUGE tent with rows of chairs. Beer, wine, nice food vendors and an espresso bar (none comped except water). They had tags for "guests". Paid my $40, got some swag and was treated to hours of great guitar playing. I'm embarrassed to say I don't know who most of them were, but I'll do more research. Davy was playing when I walked in. I got to say a quick hello, but didn't see him again one on one. He played some with PRS, who is an obvious, big fan!
I did get to visit with Tallan and his Dad. He is such a cool young/old lad. He is never nervous! He played one song and the crowd loved him. The coolest thing was when PRS came to the mic after he played, called his Dad, Carl, to the stage, and surprised T-Man with a 513..his dream guitar..that his father had bought him for his recent 11th B-Day.
There are articles about Davy and Tallan in the PRS Magazine. All very cool and something I would consider doing again next year!

D&J..I'm going to Holland at the end of October for 3 shows, so I'll be broke by mid-November! lol        Cathy

Sounds like a great event, and definitely something we'd be interested in next year. We'll have to check out Tallan online. Sorry we'll miss you in Wilkes-Barre! Say hi to George for us... oh, wait, we're on the forum, we can say it ourselves I guess. Hi George! lol

Maybe the biotch group that descended from hell upon our camp when John Mayer was coming on carted it off....I think they had her phone or something in one of their bags at one point as we were leaving (How they did that right before my eyes,  still wonder about, it seemed, no, was on purpose though)! Effing punkast jurks.  Local city idjits who probly snuck in via some acquaintance the way they were acting.
