Topic: A new fan thanks to RAH on Palladia

Saboo here from Portland, Oregon, Northwestern USA. I finally decided to register to show my support for the fabulous Joe Bonamassa.  cool

Some background. I've known about Joe for about six years. My spouse, mr. saboo, had heard one of his songs on satellite radio, liked what he heard, dug for more songs and became a fan. Strangely, when I heard Joe's music at that time, I just didn't click with it.

However about three months ago, by pure chance, I happened to catch most of the Palladia broadcast of the RAH concert. I was absolutely blown away! Joe's talent as a guitarist and singer is off the charts. And on top of that, he's a charismatic performer and entertainer. His look –– the suits, the sunglasses -- is really cool and sophisticated. It sets him apart.

Because I saw RAH on Palladia, Joe has another huge fan in this household. I'm absolutely shocked that he doesn't have a wider following in the U.S. I've told a bunch of people to check him out. Joe deserves to be a household name because of his immense talent, but also, as I've learned through reading a bunch of stuff about him, he's a great person. I love to see people like that reap the rewards for their hard work.

Welcome to the forum saboo.  I too was drawn in by the Palladia show and wondered why I hadn't heard of Joe before.  He is an awsome performer.  I went out and bought the DVD to get the whole show and now I watch it whenever I want.  Lot's of really great people here and even Joe once in awhile.  Enjoy your time here.

Welcome Saboo. Now that you  have seen a live recording, you have no idea how much better the experience is in the flesh. Be sure and catch a concert the next time he tours the Northwest.

Re: A new fan thanks to RAH on Palladia

Thanks It's Me and RickB for the welcome. I do hope to see Joe live soon. I've gone so far as to check airfares to Florida in December!

In the meantime, like you did It's Me, I bought the RAH DVD. I also just ordered DVDs for the live Rockpalast and ANDY shows.

Speaking of ordering stuff, maybe one of you has an answer for me. Does Joe make more money if I buy CDs and DVDs from his Web site as opposed to places like Barnes & Noble? I bought RAH at B&N, and five of his albums recently at a local record store.

But I got to thinking he might get a bigger cut if I order from his site, so that's where the two DVDs I just ordered are coming from. Do you know how this works? I want him to get maximum return. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure he gets more. It also helps support his management team and this site. Enjoy the music. If you buy by using my or another affiliates link we get a piece too.  smile
