Topic: Just finished a 2550 build and this looks like the place to be.
Hello to the group!
I quit gigging in 1990 over here in Louisiana due to bad ears, tendinitis etc. but have stayed active in building amps and still play a bit. I'm an electronic tech at my day job and like woodworking and of course building electronic stuff.
I long ago gutted my Marshall 4212 combo (2205 schematic) and built an SLO into it as a prototype before building a stand alone SLO 100 clone head. I again gutted it a few weeks ago and whipped up a P2P 2550 board, stuffed it into her and she likes it! I have to say, it is a perfect mod because all the transformers are the exact same as the Jubilee, the controls are labeled close enough and it sounds sooooo much better both clean, crunch and lead compared to the original 2 channel/reverb circuit which I hated.
Since I am a fan of Joe's playing and sound and there are a lot of Jubilee fans here also, this looks like the message board to get active in to get and give some advice on my new toy.

Amps built, no kits - Mesa Mark III, Caliber 50, SLO 100, X88R preamp, Trainwreck, Vibroverb, Various Marshalls and of course, a 2550. A Deluxe Reverb is in progress.
