Hahaha sorry Pete...

But I find it important to let everybody know that this was YOUR gesture, you texted me and offered to buy the ticket from me in the first place and wanted to give it to Julia, so i want everybody to know that you should get all the credit!

Because you can't be there yourself I stepped in to get her to Breda and really make this happen for her...
That's what friends are for  smile

...errr!...thanks Suzanne but OPERATION JULIA would not have succeeded if it was not for the joint effort from all of us!

We will, of course, expect a full report of your experience after the concert. Since others are seeing to you getting in a seat, I feel as a fan you should be suitably attired. Please go to the store and select a shirt of your choice, pm me with the selection and size. It will arrive at your address in time for the show.

Hij méént 't hoor Julia, kies maar gewoon n leuk Joe-shirt uit de shop op Joe's site, stuur de link door naar Rick via het forum en hij zorgt ervoor dat je het krijgt... gewoon doen  smile

Translation: just do it!  haha

...Joe!... if you`ve had a chance to glance at this thread... when you have just finished playing Woke Up Dreaming and you look down and to your left of the front row to give Julia a little wink of the eye and maybe a thumbs up just look for the girl in the Nike t-shirt!  roll

The ONLY reason any of us are like this is because we sense your excitement, and it is a shared feeling some of have had following Joe Bonamassa here there and everywhere, some for years, some for mere weeks.  Many of Joe's concerts are like miniature family reunions except there's no infighting or too loaded uncle or such.  Many fans actually do not know each other or follow here, but the excitement spreads and is familial, just check out the SHOW REVIEWS AND SET LISTS you see example of the camaraderie instantly felt across ages and nations.  I say MOM, let her go with blessings and the next show our group will get early tickets for you, Pop, and Julia and you can all go together.  I hope you say yes and we certainly look forward to meeting Julia and rocking out together, and of course hope to GET TO KNOW YOU AND POP POP (or whatever the clever cute names you use are) TOO!  This is not a cult or religious experience (well, maybe a little), just what many consider very good music and very good friendships.  cool

P.S. If you DO get to go Julia, sorry I cannot make it, but it will be like I am there too anyway when I get your report!!!  wink

Julia, I'm excited for you and can't wait to meet you. I think it may help if you show your parents the story of a young Dutchman who also came to us prior to his first show. Maybe you can communicate with Leif. We will do all we can to make certain your parents feel secure.

Exactly Julia. Go to the thread link Cathy posted and the whole story is there. Let your parents read it and they will be convinced. Joe B is the nicest man you could ever meet. His fans reflect that. Good luck convincing your parents. I can tell you were raised properly with the conservative and protective attitude they show. We are the same. This is NOT the wild Rock scene your parents envisage. This is great music enjoyed by a respectful audience.

See what a small world the world of Joe is?  big_smile

Cathy and I met Leif and his parents at the Carre last year, so your parents could talk to his parents to be reassured.  wink  I also have three Carre tickets for Nov. 7 here for him and his parents and Leif and I have exchanged mail and cds.

Blijkbaar is Arnhem de verkeerde hoek van Nederland om Joe fan te zijn, zeg tegen je ouders dat ze even naar de randstad moeten verhuizen.  cool  big_smile

Funny, you know I've learned to expect nothing less. The first few times you see Forum Love, it is totally stunning. Now, just the way we do it.  cool  cool  cool  cool
Once again, I stand in awe.

And to Juilia's parents, I too, am an old school dad and personally am acquainted with these fine people. Your daughter will be in the best of care. I know I'd trust them with mine.

finally read the whole thing through, and it is agreed that Joe has a lot of grateful fans here. I am chuffed (new favorite word) that so many have gone out of their way to make OPERATION JULIA a success. And like Rick, would expect nothing less.
To mom and dad, I'm old like a lot of Joe's fans, and I would trust the safety of my son or daughter in any concert situation with the kind of people that are on this forum. You go Julia!, and maybe you could post the detailed review for us the day after.
