One of the biggest peaks tonight. It originates in Perseus, but just look up around 11pm. If you're lucky enough to have clear skies, this should be a great one! If you can't see it tonight, these events happen over days, so you still might see a stray or two over the weekend. Commander G of the Starship Bonamassa

I went outside mumbling, 'make it so', but did they listen? 
Too much ambient city light where I am. I saw some stars, but that was it. I'll try again tomorrow night out of town. The thought of viewing from Cathy's tub is certainly appealing.....alas. Engage..... 
I experienced a sh*t storm today...does that count for anything?
Ah yes.... this shower comes round in August. Had a look, but nothing, although a clear ish sky.
The year i was in Santorini..... i witnessed an amazing show of Shooting Stars.
I shall out in the garden again tonight, weather permitting!

we drove a few miles south out of town to find a dark lane, - parked up getting neck ache and then WOW!!!!!! The speed of those things is amazing, - couple of big ones with long tails. Great show.
Last night was the peak, but the meteor shower is happening this whole week, as we pass through the tail of the comet and back out again. The skies are good and dark this year because the Moon happens to be in its new phase. Unfortunately, where I live it's been cloudy/hazy the past 3 nights, but 4 nights ago was clear and I did some sky-gazing a few times throughout the night and saw a total of 8 of them.
Also, TONIGHT there's going to be a triple conjunction with the Moon... Venus, Mars and Saturn will all be close to the thin crescent moon, if you look to the west just after sunset.

Nicky Horne on Planet Rock played Genesis' Watcher of the Skies last night in honour of the meteor shower. The beginning is very atmospheric.
I managed to see one streak across the sky on Wednesday but last night thin cloud was spoiling the view. We've just had downpour in London, so maybe that will clear the air for tonight.

Inasmuch as I left for work at 4 a.m. yesteday, I was entertained by a relatively emply southern california freeway, little streaks of flashing lights in the sky and Venus shining down upon me as I drove in.
Very Cool.
On late watch last night. Hole in the clouds and got 1/2 hour. At least 50 or so even in the city. Nice!
