Topic: Carol Ann tone clip...

Here's some serious blues wanking (8 minutes!!!??? yikes , sorry BigJeff) with my bass playing friend (a different Jeff), my newly updated CarolAnn OD2 50, and a drum machine.
I don't have the amp quite dialed in on this, but it gives you an idea of what it sounds like (I'd maybe dial in a little more treble). This wasn't really meant as a tone clip, or it would be shorter! Just making it up and fooling around and turning on the Zoom H2 recorder for fun. You can hear me trying to figure out where he's going in the beginning.

This is my R8 les paul plugged straight in, just using the volume knob and varied pick and fingers attack to attain different levels of overdrive. Starts out kind of clean, gets more raunchy towards the middle.  big_smile

Can you hear what Jeff tells his son when he walks in???

Re: Carol Ann tone clip...

Nice ! thanks for sharing that.

Always wanted to hear the carol ann laid bare . it has a really thick tone that cuts through nicelyand plenty of gain on tap
no effects at all ? reverb?

yeah funny when you are in the middle of the best ever killer solo and your kid walks in .....aaaaaargh

Wow Ken it's great to finally hear you play man!  Great tones and definately worth the 8 min. "wank".  Really nice mids on that amp!  Sounds very JB-like with the Les Paul for sure.  I really like the phrasing in that clip.  Well done Ken!  Can't wait to get together and trade some licks bro!  cool

No sorry to me!  I loved it.  I've always loved the way you play.  It sucks you're so far away.
