Just curious those venues are all familiar sounding. Joe has played them in the past. Wondering what the capacities are.

I would suggest they would all hold around 300-400 people, some maybe more, some maybe less. I may see Glenn on this tour, but believe me Joe brings more people to his show in 2010 than Glenn does.

Kind of what I thought. I would venture an educated guess. Same here too.

Jim - not sure about the other venues, but the Robin 2 has a 700 capacity.
It's only a few miles from Glenn's hometown so maybe he needs a bigger venue.
Joe stil talks fondly of the Robin, even though it's now over 2 years since he last sold out the venue and realised it was no longer big enough.

Re: Glenn Hughes UK tour dates

I was just curious about the size of an audience Glenn would draw. Say Joe has grown to selling 4,000 to 5,000 and Glenn were to bring 4,000 to 5,000 on his own then would they combing to sell 8,000 to 10,000? I think their audiences are different enough that they aren't selling to the same crowd.

In Oklahoma which is not exactly the epicenter of the music scene in America I don't know how many tix Glenn sells. Does Jason sell tickets? Not on his own but as a part of something I would guess. Derek Sherinian. Sure there is a fan base to draw from Dream Theater but he is the sideman and don't know if anyone would buy a ticket simply because he is playing with a band.

I was curious how Glenn draws in the UK. I know he has an audience in South America maybe even Japan still don't know how big it is.

I haven't totally bought in to the concept of Black Country touring. I say if it helps Joe's audience grow then it is another gateway to a larger fanbase over all. If it helps break Joe into other markets like South America then I'm all in. I am just surprised that Glenn isn't playing larger rooms in the UK.

Re: Glenn Hughes UK tour dates

Just a heads up, Scott McKeon is supporting Glenn Hughes on some/all of his UK tour dates (certainly the ones in Glasgow, Nottingham and London).
