Well done. I got mine for the 28th! Was in Ripping Reocrds in Edinburgh today and there were not too many tickets left for the Edinburgh show, so get yours now! smile

Good guess David - the Jazz Cafe it is! Will be good to see you again.

Rick - we're doing our best to keep 'em here. You've had your fair share of Joanne recently (although I don't think she's played a gig on the left coast yet) and she'll be back with you soon. In return - please can we have Davy Knowles back for an extended tour?  wink  (I think I can get away with that while Roy's on sabbatical in Texas  lol )

Ian...your photos are superb! The Robin is a great venue and I wish I could have been there. In fact I could very happily spend the whole of May attending every gig on this tour if it were possible.
The Tunnels gig was fantastic. Virgil, Gabe and Tom played a great set. They played Scuttle Buttin'. What Am I To Do and the John Mayer song Out Of My Mind which was wonderful. Our friend Scoot was so happy to have Virgil play his JBLP on Steppin' Out/Rice Pudding and Had To Cry Today. In fact he's taking it to the Cardiff gig for another work out on Sunday  cool
For the first time, Tom and Gabe played with Joanne and what an amazing performance they gave. Joanne was brilliant even tho she was a little travel weary, she's such a jet setter!

Oli and Simon were joined by Gaz Rackham on bass. He plays on the new album Heads I Win Tails You Lose and what an amazing player he is. I realised that I'd seen him before, playing with Rob Tognoni a while back. Once again Oli displayed what a great player, singer and charismatic performer he is. He really makes the audience feel involved and I have to say that the crowd were brilliant. There was no chatter going on during the quieter moments and Stone Cold (Roxanne) was very entertaining with people joining in and Oli ended up singing An-dy instead of Roxanne. It was very funny! Watch this....(not filmed by me)

It was so good to meet up with Maggie and Stella, The Varmints (Rob and Matt) and of course Scoot who was kind enough to put me and Rose up for the night.

This tour is a huge success so far and I want to say congratulations to all the bands. It's so nice to see such camaraderie between them all.

Keep going guys and gal! Wish I could be in Cardiff on Sunday

Out here on the lower left coast we get a big helping of pop, hip hop, retro reggae, jazz, rap, electronica and other gems. A smattering of good blues rock acts do come through but the ticket prices are steep. Los Angeles has a better selection but it is a tough drive. Over 100 miles of heavy traffic. You can have all the Davy 'cause he doesn't get down here.  neutral
Have fun Ian, envious here.

What a great great night! Three fantastic acts - has to have been the best value ticket around for ages!
Really good to have a mini forum gathering right in front of the stage, with not only Roger, but also Maggie, Lydia, Wooders, CurrymanDavid, Pete the Cabby, and of course Martin (mbcl). And a few more faces well known to us appeared out of the shadows at the end   wink .

Many thanks to Pete for the ride back to our hotel in Joe's cab ( we walked 100 yards down the road before realising you'd dropped us practically right outside the hotel!  lol  lol )

You said it Ian. Huge fun and great music.

Joanne was her usual wonderful self. Oli, well Oli gets better and better each time I see him.

But Virgil And The Accelerators....hmmmm.  Martin, what have you done to those boys???? For a start they don't look like boys any more. And that's only since I last saw them in December.  Next they play like seasoned professionals. And next.... they rocked the place.  cool   cool   cool

Re: New Generation Blues UK Tour Starts Tomorrow

Finally my time comes tomorrow.  This was due to be the first show on 6th May, but due to Jo's commitments in the USA, in particularly the BMA awards, it got moved to second last! Really looking forward to seeing them all. ! smile
