Topic: Howdy

Lovin' this board....

I'm new here, only been around a week or so, but glad to be here. Somewhat new to Joe's music, but equally glad I jumped on board when I did. Caught my first (of many) JB shows last week in Albany and didn't move a muscle the whole night. I was simply awestruck and stared for the whole two hours trying to make sense of JB's guitar ridiculousness.

Me? I'm from the Hartford area in Connecticut (insert condolences here) and am a semi-pro musician, sort of a "weekend warrior." I play in a couple bands, lead vocals and guitar for both. And again, just glad to have found this board. Lots of knowledge here from what I can tell.

Re: Howdy

Welcome Jeff. I'm not at all familiar with the eastern states so I will reserve condolences for those in the know. There are more than a few here from that area I think. Climb on board the train and enjoy the ride. Always room for more here.

Re: Howdy

no condolences needed here, welcome Jeff to the worldwide body of Joe. that JB show will hook you in an instant. I have been there several times, worked for Sargent out of New Haven. Oh my, Apizza to die for!!! most places here in the south make something that resembles cardboard with ragu. My dad worked for Choice Vend Corp out of Hartford back in the '70s.
Are you a UConn fan at all? we have a guy from Birmingham that we follow closely, Stanley Robinson who played basketball there and is expected to be drafted to NBA. Good to have you here, you should enjoy the gear section.

Actually no, I'm not at all a UConn fan. I went to Boston College and before BC made that ridiculous jump to the ACC, UConn was a big rival. No love lost there.
